So most of us have started out in different fields, but are fortunate to be an Outdoor Educator / Outdoor Guide now. Because of that, we were lucky to have access to good boats, and a number of great paddlers from work that shared their knowledge and skills. Through the years, we instructed and guided on seas and rivers, but soon realize, there simply was, just not enough paddlers, especially female paddlers. The number of newbies have been slowly increasing, but the experience normally ends after that first round. The lack of resources could be one of the main reason why its taking such a long time to grow this paddling community.

As for us, after working on programs, our playtime begins! Colleagues and friends would get together and paddle down the Kampar river, or paddle circumnavigating different islands around the Sibu archipelago, or go for a surf at beautiful Desaru! What a treat!

 

We soon realize that Malaysia needs more paddlers that can enjoy the same experience as us. We needed a hub to get more information on paddling gears. We know there is a market of new paddlers out there hungry for skill and knowledge. Don't get us wrong, we are NOT a kayak school or anything like that, but rather a group of friends who would like to build a community of paddlers. Kayak Kaki was created to nudge you in the right direction.
